Siena.

21Jun08

It actually only drizzled on and off in Siena, so no buckets of rain that day.  I knew a little about Siena from my discover italy DVD from the discovery channel (don’t laugh its very interesting and informative).  Basically what I knew was they had a crazy horse race called the Palio.  Siena is divided [...]

Pisa.

We only spent about two hours in Pisa.  It was raining, dank, and people wouldn’t stop trying to sell us stuff.  We had no guide for pisa so from what i can tell it’s a pretty small place.  I spent all of my time at the Piazza dei Miracoli (the square of miracles) where you can [...]

So the city really isn’t built on stilts exactly, but petrified wood and three small islands, but the city still appears to float.  Since I was about eight and my parents got me a CD about vivaldi in venice, its been a life goal to visit …and I finally have! It was all I expected! [...]

Milano (milan) was very cool!  The fashion capital of the world! We got to see the original prada, louis vuitton, dolce & gabbana and all thoose other cool stores.  After the bus tour we got to tour the Duomo, see  Castello Sforesco and tour  La Scala.  The Duomo was SO TALL!  I belive its built in the gothic style [...]
